- Dress the part – by understanding the brand you will know how to dress accordingly. Make sure your hair and nails are clean and tidy. Accessorize accordingly and don’t overdo the make-up. If in doubt, ask your recruitment specialist! Be sure to be comfortable in your attire; when you feel confident it will show.
- Take a printed copy of your CV and all relevant documentation as instructed by the recruiter, a pen and notebook. Store it safely in a plastic cover or folder to keep it neat and tidy.
- Be sure to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, greet the people at reception and introduce yourself.
- PHONES OFF. When arriving at your interview destination, switch your phone off. Don’t play on your phone or be on social media in the waiting room, rather take in the work dynamics/culture of the company and go through your interview questions or notes in your notebook.
- SMILE! Even though you might feel nervous (everyone gets nervous before interviews) but remember to breath and smile. This will create a confident first impression.
