Ops Assistant Manager | Qatar | Beauty Salon
We are seeking a dynamic and organized OPS ASSISTANT MANAGER to join a busy beauty salon in Doha. If you have a background in salon operations, a flair for customer service, and strong leadership skills, we want to hear from you!
Position Overview:
The OPS Assistant Manager will play a vital role in supporting the Head of Operations in managing daily salon operations and providing direction to the Salon Team. Acting as the Head of Operations during shifts and in their absence, this role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can ensure that salon operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Operations with the daily management of salon operations.
- Supervise and support the Salon Team to ensure a high standard of service.
- Oversee appointment scheduling, manage inventory, and handle client inquiries.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Ensure that salon policies and procedures are followed by all staff members.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the salon.
- Assist with sales and marketing efforts, including promotions and social media.
- Act as the Head of Operations during shifts and in their absence.
Experience Required:
- Salon Experience: Previous experience working in a salon or spa (as a stylist, receptionist, or in another support role) is essential. A solid understanding of salon operations, customer service, and the beauty industry is crucial.
- Leadership or Supervisory Experience: Experience managing a team, scheduling shifts, and resolving conflicts is key. Previous supervisory experience in any industry will be considered.
- Customer Service Experience: Direct experience working with customers and ensuring their satisfaction is essential.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to guide and motivate a team of stylists and support staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Organization and Time Management: Proficiency in managing multiple tasks such as overseeing appointments, managing inventory, and handling client inquiries efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with clients, employees, and suppliers. Ability to handle complaints and conflicts with diplomacy.
- Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of budgeting, pricing services, and tracking expenses or sales.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to scheduling, customer complaints, or team dynamics.
- Sales and Marketing: Familiarity with promoting salon services, retail products, and encouraging repeat business. Knowledge of basic marketing practices (e.g., social media, promotions, loyalty programs) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with booking systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and general office software is preferred.
