- Listen to the questions; if you are not 100% sure, ask the interviewer to repeat the question for you to answer. Try not to ramble or brag, be concise and stay focused on answering the question asked.
- Be honest. You will be asked why you left your previous employers and why you are in the job market. Answer truthfully and don’t bad mouth any of your previous or current employers.
- Remember it’s not only about the money! We all aspire to earn a nice salary but if you go in with a very high salary expectation you might scare off the employer. Be negotiable to an extent and open minded.
- Remember you choose your employer just as much as they choose you, so ask questions you prepared when the opportunity is given to you; show your interest in the company and the position.
- Say thank you! Thank the interviewer(s) once the interview is over for their time and for considering you for the position and you look forward hearing from them.
