I am a qualified and seasoned Regional Operations Manager with over 25 years’ of experience in the Retail Industry. It is most notably my stable employment record that makes my CV so impressive. My career with EDCON began in July 1997 and during my tenure with the retail giant, I have constantly grown and developed and as a result, I have been promoted into more senior roles throughout. My last five roles at EDCON beginning in May 2009 have been in the capacity of Stores Assistant Manager and I have subsequently held the roles of Regional Administration Manager (Edgars: 2010 – 2013), Regional Operations Manager (Edgars Active: 2013 – 2015), and Chain Administration Manager (Jet & Edgars Active: 2017 – 2021). I currently occupy the role of Regional Operations Manager, where I am responsible for Operations Management through the African Continent. My employer, team and all external stakeholders have and continue to receive my utmost dedication and loyalty.
I have extensive National and International Retail knowledge and strong business acumen. I pride myself in my ability to strategically manage retail store finances, new business orientation strategies and guide a team of managers to contribute to business growth. I am seeking an opportunity to expand my experience and to add value to another retailer in the operations space. Academically, I am in possession of a Regional Manager Development & Operations Management Development Program as well as various certificates as outlined in my CV.
