We are seeking an experienced and talented CHEF to join a private 40m motor yacht cruising the Mediterranean. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite dishes, using fresh and local ingredients, and catering to the tastes of discerning guests and crew. You will be responsible for providing top-quality cuisine while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the galley.

The contract: 7 months (April to November)

Boarding: Greece OR Turkey

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and present a variety of meals, including fine dining and casual dishes.
• Cater to guests’ dietary preferences and special requests, including allergies and restrictions.
• Manage provisioning within budget, sourcing fresh ingredients from local markets and suppliers.
• Maintain a clean and organized galley, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations.
• Provide meals for both guests and crew (up to 8 crew members).
• Work closely with the captain and steward/ess to ensure smooth service and an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a chef on yachts or in high-end restaurants.
• Excellent knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and the ability to adapt to different culinary styles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of food safety standards (STCW, ENG1 certification preferred).
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and flexibility with guest preferences.
