I have had a broad and varied experience in the Hospitality industry spanning over 10 years.
My experience in the Tourism & Hospitality industry consists of a blend of Five Star Beach Resort; Luxury Safari Lodge and Urban Deluxe Properties. The range of assignments covers; Sales & Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management Front Office Management in a Beach Resort and a City property, Revenue Management, in a city Property and Lodge Management. I have also had the privilege to be involved in Pre-opening of a 5 * City hotel, and currently a Beach Resort Assignment in overall operations management, restructuring program, Process Renovation and Brand Repositioning Project.
Three and a half years of my career were spent as Lodge Manager for the luxury Mara Sweet Acacia lodge in Mara. Four years of my career were spent in sales and marketing for 5-star beach property, Luxury lodge and city hotel. As a result, I have an in-depth knowledge and experience in strategic planning, sales administration, staff development, Revenue management, budgetary control and market research.
A strong financial orientation having been involved in Capital expenditure planning, the budgeting process, and preparation of the integrated business plan and leading revenue enhancements programs for Mombasa continental Resort and Arkman Limited in Kenya.
I poses a strong previous experience of managing a 5* Safari Lodge with large Kenyan staff complement and reporting to a Chain of Hotels Operation, where efficient administration, financial, procedural reporting and communication requirements are the norm.
