In my career spanning over a decade and half, I have managed the end-to-end retail business of various retail concepts and store formats spread across a large geographical region in India and Gulf. I have managed the entire gamut of retail operations covering almost all categories and domains.

Managing the P&L, Budgeting & Financial reporting, Stock & Inventory Management, Business development (retail expansion), Managing internal and external stakeholder relations, Vendors / Suppliers management and negotiations, Implementing business strategies in line with the organization’s Vison & Mission and Customer insights, Optimum space utilization, Market research, World class customer service, Managing and developing teams were some of my main KRAs.

 

Throughout my career, I always paid emphasis on Quality and World class Customer Service. I believed that this will improve customer loyalty and increase repeat orders. I also emphasised on Staff Training & Development as this results in better Clarity of roles and increase Efficiency, Staff Loyalty, Reduced Attrition and more accountability.

·         Ensured profitable EBITDA store wise and have turned around loss making stores to profitable stores.

·         Introduced new categories based on customer insights and requirement.

·         Reduced shrinkage from 5% to below 1% through proper stock & inventory management, increasing accountability and perpetual inventory process.

·         Increased Top-line by increasing the ABV and customer footfall by improving Quality, Reducing product gaps (increasing availability), Excellent customer service, good & effective VM and cross merchandising.
